Y Combinator will be on campus to speak directly with Georgia Tech students curious about startups, whether they already have an idea or are just beginning to explore entrepreneurship. YC General Partners Aaron Epstein and Brad Flora—who have supported hundreds of YC companies—will share lessons from founders they’ve worked with and what YC has learned from backing companies like Stripe, Twitch, Reddit, and Scale AI. They’ll discuss why so many successful startups are launched by collegeage builders and why the recent AI boom has led YC to fund four times as many students as in 2022. The event features a fireside chat with Daksh Gupta, cofounder of Greptile (W24), an AI code review agent built by three Georgia Tech alumni who completed YC’s Winter 2024 batch. Students will gain insight into finding ideas, evaluating opportunities, and understanding how AI is reshaping earlystage startup opportunities. After the talk, YC will host a reception with dinner where students can meet the partners and connect with other GT builders. YC is also offering optional 11 office hours for students already working on startups through a separate signup link. This event is open to current Georgia Tech students only, and the exact location will be shared after registration.
